Woven and Knit Products

More than 50 years experience in producing self-gripping fasteners makes it possible for Aplix Fasteners Inc. to offer a complete range of high quality woven and knit products.

The self-gripping fastener is a combination of two elements, gripping and snagging. The hook is the gripping element made of either hooks or mushrooms. The loop is the snagging element which is either woven or knit.

Our Woven and Knit Products are available in:

• Widths from 5/8" to 4" (16 mm to 100 mm)
• Cycle life from 2,000 to 10,000 openings and closings

Mushroom and Knit Loop Fasteners Fasteners made of a mushroom gripping element and a knit loop, for applications requiring a thin closure with high gripping performance. Available in wide width up to 60" (1550 mm).
Woven Hook and Loop
		aplix®800 Hook Nylon standard hook. To be used with #800 and #804 loop.
		aplix®800 Loop Nylon standard loop. High cycle life and shear strength when used with #800 hook.
		aplix®804 Napped Loop Nylon napped loop. Good shear and cycle life when used with #800 hook. Also available with a pressure sensitive adhesive.
		aplix®810 Polyester Hook and Loop Polyester hook and loop. Resistant to humidity, UV and chemicals. High shear tension and peel strength and no loss of properties when wet. Also available with pressure sensitive adhesive.
		aplix®820/821 Closure consisting of Aramid loop and stainless steel hook. Fire retardant. Resistant to very high temperatures. Certifications : FAR 25.853 and Airbus specifications.
		aplix®840 Hook and Loop Closure 100% PPS. Fire retardant. Available with pressure sensitive adhesive. Certifications: FAR 25.853, FAR 25.856 and Boeing and Airbus specifications.
		aplix® 400 Hook and Loop Economical standard nylon hook and loop with good cycle life. Certification: FMVSS-302.
		aplix® A Stick Hook and Loop Hook and Loop laminated to a rigid plastic. To be attached to the substrate by the means of a mechanical fastener such as screw, staple, rivet or nail. Available in 1" and 1 3/4" (25mm and 45mm) widths. 1000 ft per roll, can be cut to size.
Knit Loops Top
		aplix®200 Loop Nylon loop, low profile. Up to 50" (1270mm) wide.
		aplix®108 Loop Knitted nylon loop with high profile loop, available in 58" (1470mm) widths.
		aplix®110 Plastic/knit closure. Very low profile. Ideal for single use products. Cost effective.
		aplix® 624 Joint Seam Loop Lock  Polyester knit loop. It can be wrapped around a join seam or sewn into a specific area to mate with #225, #255 and #985 hook molded in the seat pad. Available in standard and aggressive strengths.
Mushroom and Knit Loops Top
		aplix®200 Mushroom Hook polypropylene mushroom hook with Nylon base, moderate thinkness, 100 cycle life. Powerful gripping force.
		aplix®220 Mushroom Hook Polyproylene mushroom hook with a polyester base. High shear and tension strength Up to 57” (1448mm) wide.
		aplix® 224 Mushroom Hook Extruded polypropylene mushroom hook. Strong gripping power. Up to 20" (500mm) wide.
